Why We Do Not Publish Legal Guidance
Because it varies by state, changes over time, and getting it wrong on a page like this would be worse than saying nothing. What we can say is that the question is real, that it is about where you are rather than about which app you opened, and that nothing on this site is legal advice.
The related question people are usually asking — whether an app is available to them — is answered faster by the deposit screen than by any page. If a route is unavailable, that is visible immediately and without argument.
On Place Names in App Titles
Treat them exactly like the numbered names and the recognisable brand names: labels chosen because they are memorable and cheap to register. A place in the title implies a connection that is rarely there, and the checks that matter — licence, payee, permissions — are unaffected by it.
How brand names behave more generally is covered on the myths page, and every guide is listed on the home page.
